What is Betel Leaf??
The Betel Leaf is an aromatic, anti-bacterial, stimulant herb, with a spicy, clove-like flavour. The use of Betel Leaf can be tracked to over two thousand years ago, when crushed leaves were used as an antiseptic on cuts and wounds. In Indonesia they are drunk as an infusion and used as an antibiotic. Almost all Indonesian women use the leaves in bath water after giving a birth and the Indonesian goverment has endorsed betel leaf (daun sirih) as a natural medication. None of our product have been tested on animals. The products retain the natural aroma of the piper betel leaf as we have not used any chemical fragrances, allowing our products to be used by men, women, or children.
